The U.S seals decided they would journey back the way they came and would try reach comms to get back to their home base, as they journey on they realise that their is over 100 taliban chasing them, unfortunately they still do not have comms so they began to fight the taliban, outnumbered and outgunned they decide to retreat off a cliff face, they jump down. As they fall they smash all sorts of body parts on rocks and trees, but they survive, danny has been shot many times, when they get up Marcus picks up Danny, they see that the taliban are still attacking them so they fight back, without any option they decide to retreat further down another rock face but Danny is left up there because Marcus trips over and drops him and then falls down the face, again the same thing, they smack their heads, arms, legs and heads on the rocks and trees. When they reach the bottom they are still fighting off the taliban, the remaining three (danny has been captured up the top) have bullet wounds, broken bones and bruised bodies. The squad leader Michael Murphy (Murph) decides that the only way they will survive is if he goes upto a rock that is very exposed to the enemy to calls back to base for help, he does this with the help of suppressing fire. He makes the call back to base but is unfortunately shot during the process, he dies looking at the sunset. Marcus and Matthew Axelson (Axe) are left to hold their ground. The gunfight carries on for a while, Axes injuries are too serious to move on so stays fighting, Marcus and Axe are split up now and cannot contact each other. Axe runs out of ammo and is killed, Marcus decides to go down further into the bush and hide from the enemies. At this time two chinooks (military helicopters capable of taking 30 soldiers) arrives, one of the helicopters is just starting to unload it’s mean when a bazooka shoots it out of the sky, the other helicopter decides to return to base because it is not safe enough. Marcus is now alone on the mountain with very severe wounds he sleeps through the night without being seen and finds a pond to wash off when a farmer sees him, Marcus is threatened by this but the farmer is their to help him and takes him back to his village where they look after him. They treat his wounds, the next day the taliban arrive to kill Marcus but the locals tell them to leave by showing them the barrel end of their guns, they say “you will regret doing this, helping an American soldier.” they take the risk, the taliban leave only to come back later with more forces and another gunfight takes place, finally U.S. helicopters come in and attack the Taliban scaring them off.
